William S. Mowry, 77, a lifelong resident of Wappingers Falls passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers, NY. He was born January 6, 1940 in Wappingers Falls to the late John and Ruth Mowry.

He worked for 28 years before his retirement as an I.T. Tech for IBM in Poughkeepsie.

William graduated from Wappingers Central School in 1957.

He married Gail Conklin on May 9, 1965.

He enjoyed volunteering his time for Wappingers Central High School reunions. He served with the National Guard and belonged to the Masonic Lodge F&AM of Wappingers Falls. He spent his free time working on computers and researching his family genealogy.

William is survived by his wife, Gail; three children, Scott and his wife Kim, Deanna and Russell; grandchildren, Ayreanna Crawford, Trevor and Peyton Mowry and Chloe Mowry. He was predeceased by his grandson, Ryan; sister, Carolyn Knauss and brother, Ted Mowry.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 5 to 8PM at Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, May 19, 2017 from the funeral home. Interment will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
