William Kingman Minkowski of Fishkill passed away on April 1, 2016 at his home.  He was 74.

Born on March 20, 1942 in New York City to the late William and Florence Page Minkowski.

Bill worked for NY Telephone as a foreman prior to retirement.  He married Elizabeth Shortt on May 28, 1967 at Sacred Heart Church in Mount Vernon.  He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force.

He was a charter member of the Wappingers Elks Lodge 2609, where he was instrumental in building of the current lodge on Route 376.  He was Past StateVice President of the NYS Elks, Past State Trustee, and Past Exhausted Ruler of the Elks Lodge. A Member of the Knights of Columbus Council 445 he served as a 3rd degree Knight.  He enjoyed collecting movies, various themed mugs, and Elk articles.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth, Loving Children Martin Minkowski of Redlands California, Alison Richards and her husband Jerome of Pleasant valley, Brian Minkowski of Fishkill, Cherished grandchildren Jerome, Amira and Amari Richards.  His dear brother Philip Minkowski and his wife Lynn of Wautoma , WI, along with numerous nieces and nephews.   William was predeceased by his Sister Ann Fricker and his step mom  Mitzi Minkowski.

Friends may call on Tuesday April 5, 2016 from 4-8pm at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main Street Fishkill.  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday April 6, 2016 at 10:30am at the funeral home.
