Wilbur " Bill" Brink, 72 of Pleasant Valley, passed away at his residence on February 24, 2022. Born in Poughkeepsie on October 1, 1949, he was the son of Wilbur and Mary Burger Brink.
He owned and operated along with his grandmother Marguerite, Brink Sanitation for many years. For the last 12 years he worked at the Pleasant Valley transfer station as well as plowing snow and running the brush mower.
Bill joined the Salt Point Fire Co. in 1971. He served as Lieutenant, Captain, Safety Officer  Trustee, Vice President from 2005-2013 and Salt Point Fire Chief in 1988 and 1989. He received the Firefighter of the Year Award in 1980 and became a life member in 1991. And in 2006 he received the Barbara Bathrick Award for dedication of service to Salt Point Fire Co.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Friday, March 11 at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 12 at 10 am from the funeral home. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, East Park.
