Wayne Arthur Tompkins, 80, of Millbrook, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.  Born on February 17, 1938 in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late Harry Tompkins, Sr. and Ruth Reynolds.

Wayne was an Army Veteran and lifetime member of the Millbrook Rescue Squad. He is responsible for bringing the Rescue Squad into the fire department.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Fimbel-Tompkins; daughters, Shaun Morano, Jill Coy and Kelly Evert; stepsons, Patrick Biszick and Timothy Biszick; brother, Harry Tompkins, Jr.; sister, Dorothy Tompkins Schmitt; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Evelyn May Tompkins and step daughter Lisa Ann Robinson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 3 to 6 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook, NY 12545. Graveside services will be held on Friday, 12 PM at Union Cemetery, in Hyde Park,
