Obituary

Tina Wandy, 55, passed away suddenly in LaGrangeville on Sunday, April 5, 2020.

Tina was born in Yonkers on February 6, 1965 to Anthony and Eleanor Peluso. She grew up with her brother, Anthony, and sister, Theresa, in Mahopac. As a family of 5, they spent many summers traveling across the country in their RV. Tina had visited 49 of the 50 US states; Alaska was the only state she had not visited.
Tina married Greg Wandy on June 29, 1991 in Pleasant Valley. Together they raised three beautiful children, Alexa, Gregory, and Lanna. Tina and Greg raised 2 puppies for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Aussie and Windy. They then had two black labs of their own, Scuba and Sky.
Tina was a graduate of Binghamton University and received her master's degree in teaching from the College of New Rochelle. Tina was a special education teacher in Poughkeepsie City School District for her whole career. During this time, she made lifelong impacts on numerous students and colleagues. Tina was planning to retire this upcoming June.
She enjoyed reading on the front porch, baking, and spending time with her family and friends. Some of her fondest memories were time spent with family at the beach. She enjoyed traveling, especially for her kid's various sports games and performances.

Tina is remembered by her family and many friends. With the many circles she ran, she rarely said goodbye to any- but only made more friends in the process.
Due to the current environment, a memorial service will not be held for Tina at this time. Memorial donations can be made to the LaGrange Public Library, as so much of her time was spent picking out new books to read.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Allen Funeral Home, Pleasant Valley
