Timothy Scott Acree of Pleasant Valley NY died peacefully Monday 01/29/24 at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie NY after a long battle with Lymphoma. Tim was born on 12/14/65 in Newport News VA. He is survived by his domestic partner Noël Thayer, his mother Mary Lou Flaminio, his sister Susan Acree, his brother Daniel Acree, his sister Jennifer Bauer, his son Joseph Acree, his stepson John Bernard, and his stepdaughter Jeniffer Carney, along with many nieces and nephews and seven grandchildren.

Tim graduated from Ohio Diesel Technical College in his early twenties. He worked for different shops in Dutchess and Putnam Counties and for many years at Arlington Auto and Tire in Poughkeepsie NY.

Tim will be remembered as a strong-willed, rebel spirit; a hard-working, brilliant mechanic; a proud father and "Poppy". He had a sweet soul, and a quick-wit. He was a loyal, generous friend with a heart of gold. Tim was deeply appreciative of all the love, support and kindness from his family, friends, doctors, and nurses. He was a sincerely thoughtful man and a courageous fighter to the very end. Tim was the most loving and amazing partner to Noël.

Visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main Street Pleasant Valley NY 12569 on Saturday, February 10th from 12:00-2:00pm.
