Thomas Beverly Walker, Jr., age 88, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026, at Hudson Valley Hospice in Hyde Park, New York.

Born in the Bronx, New York, Tom was the son of Thomas Beverly Walker, Sr. and Buehla Agnes Walker (Nugent).

Throughout his career, Tom held a number of positions that reflected his many talents and interests. He worked as an auditor for First Federal Savings and Loan, a tax consultant for H&R Block, and a census taker for New York State. He later served as Director of Information Technology for the New York State Unified Court System, where he remained until his retirement.

Tom was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marianne Odette Walker (Sengstock), who passed away in July 2026.

He is survived by his brother, Terry Walker; his sister, Beverly Franchville (Walker); and his stepson, Frank Forbell and his wife, Kristi Coleman.

Tom had a lifelong curiosity and many interests. He loved cooking, model trains, computers, and baseball and was a devoted lifelong New York Mets fan. But the greatest love of his life was his wife, Marianne. He was deeply devoted to her, and after her passing in July, her absence was profoundly felt.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s memory to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

Services will be held at Allen Funeral Home in Pleasant Valley, New York, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026. Interment will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
