Thomas Gordon Garrison, beloved husband of Georgianna and loving father of Matthew, passed away July 16th, 2024 in Vassar hospital, succumbing to an illness after a valiant two month battle.

He was born on October 14th, 1936 in MT. Kisco NY and spent most of his upbringing in Beacon, NY.  He was the son of Gordon and Margaret (nee Pickles) Garrison.

Tom joined the United States National Guard after High School.

He attended Westchester Community College and in 1957, was hired by IBM as a draftsmen and designer, eventually learning CADAM in the later 1980's.  He retired in 1991 and worked as a subcontractor doing similar work for LJ Gonzer and IBM until his final retirement in 2005.

Tom married Georgianna on June 22nd, 1968.  They purchased their first home in Lagrange NY, living there until 1984, when they moved to Pleasant Valley to a newly built house that George (Georgianna) found the plans for.

Matthew, their only child, was born on May 20th, 1979 and lives in Westchester County with his wife Emily.

Tom had a lifelong interest in sports cars, owning several beautiful examples over the years.  He was at the inaugural first race at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut in 1957 and made pilgrimages to Sebring International Raceway for the 12 Hours races.

In keeping with Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place.  There will be no services at this time and in lieu of flowers, the Garrison family kindly requests any donations be sent to https://www.thewetlandtrust.org/
