Sueann Schroeder, 75 of Pleasant Valley, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at her home.
Born in Poughkeepsie on November 30, 1942, she was the daughter of John and Ida Peters Dakin.
Sueann graduated Arlington High School in 1960 and was employed as a beautician for 22 years. She always had a great love for animals and her pride and focus in life was her family.
Sueann is survived by her husband Michael R. Schroeder, who she married on September 5, 1972; her son Michael R. Schroeder II; her daughter-in-law Maria Forero; her granddaughter Bela; her brother John P. Dakin and his wife Marilyn as well as her brother-in-law George Schroeder.
She was predeceased by her brother Terrance Dakin and sister Jackelyn Hackett.
A dedicated wife and mother, she lived life devoted to those around her family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4-7pm at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10 am from St. Stanislaus Church, Pleasant Valley. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
