Robert Gordon Wing, 83 of Pleasant Valley, NY passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 2, 2025. He was surrounded by his loved ones. Robert was born in Millbrook, NY to John and Marion Wing on October 10, 1941.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Valerie Garcia from Brooklyn, NY. Robert and Valerie married on August 7, 1965.

Robert is survived by his sister Mary Feola (Poughkeepsie, NY). He is predeceased by his 3 brothers John, Richard, and Thomas along with his 3 sisters, Margaret, Teresa, and Kathy.

He is survived by his 5 children, Lisa (and Sean) Kiernan, Laura (and Michael) Cobb, Anne Wing (and partner Tom Ranieri), Michael (and Becca) Wing, and Elizabeth Wing (and partner Tom Sinclair). He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren Abbie Cobb, Benjamin Cobb, Kole Niznik, Sam Niznik, Taylor Cross, Alexandra Wing, Emma Wing, Michael Kiernan and Alyssa Kiernan.

Robert graduated high school in 1959, then enlisted into the United States Army for 3 years. After the Army, he worked for Western Electric, NY Telephone Company as a switchman, and then advanced into management with Nynex.

Robert retired in 1994. During his retirement, he enjoyed his time spent with his grandchildren and maintaining his home and yard. His favorite pastimes were his cars and watching New York Mets baseball games.

Calling hours will be private.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 7th at 11 a.m., St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 1590  Main Street, Pleasant Valley, NY. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Millbrook, NY.
