Robert A. Foy's Obituary
Born in Manhattan, NY, on Friday the 13th of May 1932. Died peacefully in Montrose, NY on January 11th 2017. He is preceded by his ex-wife of 30 years, Joan Ann Foy. Three daughters, Dianna Spellman, Carolynn Foy and Barbara Smith-Foy all devoted children of Bob. He is survived by his sister Janeen Foy, and niece's Erika Foy and Anna Rauh who loved him dearly. Son in laws Bill Spellman Jr. and Jeffery Smith. Grand children Bill, Brian, Christine, Elizabeth, Ian, Simon and Sage who will all miss their grand father dearly.
Robert was a graduate from Cardinal Hayes HS, Fordham university and Fordham Law School. He attainted the rank of second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He received commendations for marksmanship. He was a lawyer for Brown Wood Associates, VP at Merrill Lynch and in private family practice in Mt. Kisco , NY. His passions included all types of music, played banjo, was a voracious reader and served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Drew Memorial library in Carmel. He loved to play golf, was a member of Mt. Kisco Country club, enjoyed bird watching and was President Lincoln' s greatest fan. He was a protector of all those he loved and his presence will truly be missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 1 to 3 pm, with services starting at 3, at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Homes, Inc., 1028 Main St., Fishkill, NY 12524.
