It is with sincere sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Rick Agnello, in the early morning hours of July 11, 2025. Rick was born on April 26, 1952, at Phelps Memorial Hospital in North Tarrytown. He grew up in Crotonville and graduated from Ossining High School in 1970.
To his five nephews, Uncle Rick was always the "Cool Uncle." With his skills in Nintendo, fishing, and off-road vehicles, a visit with Uncle Rick was always an adventure. They loved listening to stories about his "Glory Days" on the 1969-1970 OHS Varsity Football teams.
After high school, Rick completed a program in automotive technology and became a Master mechanic. According to neighbors, Rick could fix anything. He was looking forward to his 55th OHS Class of 1970 reunion, scheduled for October 2025, in his childhood neighborhood of Crotonville.
Rick moved to Clinton Corners, NY, in the mid-1980s and bought a house there in 1999, where he lived for the rest of his life. In addition to his brother, Anthony Agnello and sister, Dossi Agnello Larkin, he is survived by five nephews and many relatives, including two aunts and several cousins in New York, Tennessee, and Washington state. His four grandnieces and two grandnephews reside in Western New York and Northern New Jersey.
With thanks and appreciation to his classmates, neighbors, and friends who supported Rick throughout his life, the family plans to hold a private memorial service.
