O n the evening of Tuesday August 24, 2021, Rhonda Millard-Gessner of Pleasant Valley, passed away peacefully at Vassar Brothers Medical Center at the age of 62 after a long struggle with COPD that had progressed and taken a toll on her recently.  Rhonda was and is the love of Steve's life and mother to 1 child, Kristyn Gessner.  Rhonda was also true mother to 2 other children, Corrine Millard, Renee Millard, and their children Andrew (Corrine), Tiyana and Elijah (Renee) having raised them from their early years.

She is survived by her brothers Robert Millard and Richard Millard and preceded in death by her parents Robert and Margaret Millard, brother Raymond Millard and Uncle James Millard.

Rhonda touched the lives of hundreds (maybe thousands) with her deep and caring heart and her willingness to do anything for anyone at any time that was in need or just needed a shoulder to cry on or a hand to lift them up.  The world will be a darker place without her light, and she will be sorely missed by all whom she touched.
Visitation will held on Monday, August 30 from 5-8 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 31 at 10 am from Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church, 1576 Main St, Pleasant Valley.

In lieu of flowers, her family is asking that donations be made to the American Lung Association or the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.
