Rhea Ames Terhune, 70 of Poughkeepsie, passed away on October 16, 2021 at Northern Dutchess Hospital.Born in Poughkeepsie on February 14, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Vance Parks and Marion Parks. Rhea married Myron "Terry" Arthur Terhune III on August 2, 1969 at United Methodist Church, Poughkeepsie NY. Mr. Terhune predeceased her on August 5, 2017.
Rhea was retired from Marshall & Sterling Insurance, Poughkeepsie NY.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, her dogs, reading, sewing, making jewelry, walks, hikes, boating, being in Lake George and spending time with her companion Rick Butler.
She is survived by her 3 sons; Matthew Terhune of Poughkeepsie, Mark Terhune and his wife Briana Purdy and their daughter Miranda of Gardiner, NY and Myron Terhune IV of LaGrange, NY; and her 2 Grandsons, Myles and Austin.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 22 from 4-7 pm at Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie. Graveside funeral services will take place 10 am, Saturday, October 23 at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
