Regis M. Laurendeau, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, passed away on September 5, 2021, at the age of 82. Regis was the devoted husband of Donna Gardiner Laurendeau, with whom he had two daughters, Maria and Meg (Margaret).

Regis was born on August 25, 1939, the son of Raymond and Germaine Laurette (Gagnon).  He grew up in Lewiston, Maine, where he graduated from Saint Dominic's High School in 1957.  Following graduation, Regis attended the University of Maine, Orono, where he met his love, Donna Gardiner at a Freshmen Mixer.  They were married in June of 1961, after Regis earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.  Donna and Regis then settled in Springfield, Massachusetts.  Regis continued his education and earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration from American International College. Over the years, Regis worked for the Springfield Armory and Hamilton Standard.  In 1966, he moved with his family to Seattle, where he worked for Boeing.  In 1970, he and his family settled in Poughkeepsie after he accepted a position as a mechanical engineer with IBM. Upon leaving IBM, Regis began his favorite job of all, joining Donna at their deli, The Sausage Company, in LaGrange, NY.  Regis and Donna operated The Sausage Company from 1986 to 1997.  After the business was sold, Regis would always say how he missed the people he met at the deli.  In later years, Regis worked as a school bus driver.  He truly cared for the students whom he drove to and from school.
Regis enjoyed hockey, which he played as a teenager.  He also enjoyed watching Yankees baseball games, reading and visiting museums.  Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Regis is survived by his daughter, Meg (Margaret) Laurendeau, and her husband, Joseph Havrilla.  He is also survived by Bob (Robert) Breckel, the husband of his late daughter Maria Laurendeau.  Additionally, Regis is survived by his four sisters, Suzanne Manahan, Claire Gosselin, Diane Kaufman and Jennifer Laurendeau, with whom he recently spent his 82 ^nd birthday at their childhood home in Lewiston, Maine. His wife, Donna, passed away in October 2020.  Regis's daughter, Maria, passed away in July 2016.
