Peter P. Mack, 70 of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Westchester Medical Center. Born in Poughkeepsie on May 19, 1946, he was the son of John E. Mack Jr. and Agnes D. Albrecht.

Peter was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, Class of 1964 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Marist College in 1969.  On July 6, 1968 at Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie, Peter married Linda Lovelace. Mrs. Mack resides at home.

Mr. Mack was employed by Dutchess County Department of Health as an Environmental Health Supervisor from 1969 - 2001 when he retired.

He was an avid fly fisherman and orchid growing enthusiast.

Peter is survived by his wife Linda; his son Peter Mack of Bristol,CT.; his daughter, Amy Mack and her husband Scott Teresi of Cornwall-on-Hudson,NY; his granddaughter, Rose Teresi; his brothers, John Mack of Hilton Head, SC and Paul Mack of Poughkeepsie and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son Daniel Mack in 2003; his mother Agnes Mack in 2005 and a brother Joseph Mack in 2007.

Funeral services and burial will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie.
