Peter F. Heiligenthaler, (76), of Clinton Corners, NY, passed away on April 21st, 2024.
Peter, was born to Franz and Magdalene Heiligenthaler, on October 21, 1947, in Nuremberg, Germany.
He was a master mechanic who loved History, Collecting and Puzzles. He came to America with his Parents in 1957 aboard a Holland America Transatlantic Ship and in July of 1963 became a US Citizen.  He attended School in Chappaqua, NY after which he went to Syracuse University School of Forestry.  He was Drafted and sent to Vietnam, with the Army 125th Infantry armored division.  Upon Returning he worked as a mechanic at North County VW in Mt Kisco, he then opened is own repair shop in Mt Kisco. Before retiring he had a VW restoration business in Clinton Corners where he had a devout following.
Peter is survived by his son Sean along with Daughter-in-law Stacey and Grandson Skylar.  He also survived by his cat KitKat.
Aside for Peter's love for vintage cars, which he owned many in his life, he had a great love for animals and nature.  He enjoyed camping trips and spending time outside in the country.
Peter's family will host a funeral service on Sunday May 5th, at 10:00 a.m. The service will be at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook, NY.
