Paula W. Germano, 83 of Pleasant Valley, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born in Poughkeepsie on March 29, 1938, she was the daughter of Otis and Ethel Schoonmaker Whitehead. In her early years she worked for Bell South Telephone and later she was employed as a dental assistant in a local dental office.
On October 22, 1983 at the United Methodist Church, Pleasant Valley she married Angelo Germano. Mr. Germano predeceased her on February 24, 2015.
Paula was a charter member of the Gretna Garden Club and a member since 1974 and was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Pleasant Valley and it's food pantry.
Paula is survived by her sons; Mitchell Zocchi and his wife Shelly and David Zocchi and his wife Jamie; her 3 grandchildren, Adriana, Shana and Trent Zocchi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 22 from 4-7 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 23 at 11am from the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Cancer Institute.
