Paul L. Harrison III, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Vassar Brothers Hospital. Born on December 6, 1946, in Rhinebeck, NY, to the late Paul L. Harrison II and Doris (Ostrander) Harrison. He was raised in Pine Plains, NY and graduated from Pine Plains High School in 1967, Following graduating high school Paul enlisted in the U.S. Army where he completed basic training at Fort Lee, VA and went on to serve two years during the Vietnam War. A devout Christian, he was a long-time member of Faith Assembly Church in Poughkeepsie.

Paul married Donna Reynolds on August 8, 1994, in Germantown, NY. Mrs. Harrison survives at home. He was an avid gunman and belonged to The Sportsman Association in Pleasant Valley. Paul enjoyed working with horses, hunting, fishing, and was an old cars enthusiast, especially Mustangs. He retired from Dutchess County Transit loop with the Local Teamsters 445.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Donna of 30 years; children, Lynn Marie and her spouse, Richard Hoffay, Anthony Harrison, Doug and his spouse, Ana Berryann, Renee Stone, and Bonnie Dixon; 12 grandchildren, Riley, Tanner, and Payton Hoffay, Todd, A.J., and Toni Marie Harrison, Jordan Berryann, Joslyn, Emily, and Kat Stone, and Kaitlyn and Carina Berryann; along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Dorie Bowne, in 2010, and his brothers-in-law, Nelson Bowne and Jeffrey Cassard, in 2023.

Memorial services with Military Honors will be held in the spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley, NY 12569.
