Patricia D. Kern, a resident of Pleasant Valley, passed away suddenly at her home on May 20, 2025.  She was 77 years old.  Patricia was born on June 14, 1947 in Tarrytown, New York to Virginia (Connell) and Thomas J. Dunnings, Sr.  At 10, she and her family moved from Tarrytown to Yorktown Heights, New York where she was raised.  Patricia attended Lakeland Schools and graduated from Ladycliff Academy in Mohegan Lake, New York in 1966.
On July 8, 1967 Patricia married Harold A. Kern in Yorktown Heights, New York.  Patricia was predeceased by her parents, and her brother, Thomas J. Dunnings, Jr. (Joan) of Tarrytown, NY.  She was an avid reader and a devout New York Yankees fan.  Patricia is survived by her husband, Harold of Pleasant Valley, and her three cats, Lorelei, Dora and Littleby.  She also is survived by her nephews Thomas J. Dunnings III (Rita) of Yorktown Heights, and Jeffrey J. Dunnings (Dina) of Tarrytown, along with many great nephews and a great niece, as well as a great great nephew and a great great niece.
