Pamela Hartling, 65 years old, of Pleasant Valley, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 16, 2023 after a 2 yearlong battle with cancer.

Pamela was born in the Bronx on June 6, 1958. She was predeceased by both her mother, Joan Holst also formerly of the Bronx and her father, Benjamin Schlanger of Manhattan, NY. She was also predeceased by her grandmother, Grace Closius of the Bronx.

Pamela is survived by her husband and best friend of 43 years, Kenneth Hartling Sr. of Pleasant Valley; her 3 sons, Kenneth Hartling Jr. and his wife, Cigdem, Erik Hartling and his wife, Michelle and Scott Hartling. Plus 2 wonderful granddaughters, Brooke and Mila.

Pamela enjoyed much of her time going to and watching her 3 sons sporting events. In Pamela's eyes, the more sports the better. More recently, she loved spending time with her 2 granddaughters.

A special thank you to her Oncologist, Doctor Yousuf, his nurses and office staff. Her husband would like to thank Hudson Valley Hospice for the tremendous caring and support they provided for Pamela, himself and the family.

A celebration of Pamela's life will be held at a later date.
