Nicholas Joseph Greco Sr.

August 1, 1935 - January 16, 2016

On Saturday, January 16, 2016 Nicholas Joseph Greco Sr. passed away surrounded by his family at Vassar Hospital. After a long fight with many ailments he is now resting in peace. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Patricia, his eldest son Nicholas and his children Dominick and Giavanna, his youngest son Christopher and his wife Danielle, his sister Jacqueline Tautel and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother Natalie and Joseph Greco, and his brothers Joseph and Raymond.

Nick, "Champ", served in the United States Air Force from 1952 - 1956 during the Korean War. He retired from Metro-North and spent his time watching his grandchildren, reading the paper, and drinking coffee. He loved his dogs Hoppy and Fred and will now be able to walk them. He was always proud of his two sons and considered them his best friends. In his final years his loving wife cared for him and he was grateful even when it was unspoken.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 21, 2016 at 10am at St. Mary, Mother of The Church.  Interment will be private.
