Morey F Randazzo of Pleasant Valley, NY, passed away peacefully after a long illness with family and friends by his side.

Morey was born in Kent, NY on June 19, 1937 to Mariano and Vera

(Tompkins) Randazzo.

He served his country in the US Marine Corps from 1956-1959.

He met his wife, Sharon A Marasco, on a blind date that lasted 63 years.

They were married at St. Joseph's Church in Danbury, CT on September 12, 1959.

Morey worked for various tree surgeons in Connecticut and retired from the Taconic State Parks Commission where he was employed at James Baird State Park for 23 years.

He was also proud to be part of the Taconic Region Search and Rescue team.

Morey is survived by his loving wife Sharon, his 3 children, Kelli Day and husband, Larry, of Greenland, NH, Robin Liss and her husband, Serge, of Virginia Beach, VA, and his son, Premo, of Pleasant Valley as well as his beloved grandson and his dear mother, Brad Randazzo and Leigh Anne Bishop of Birmingham, AL. He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Ranny N. Randazzo Sr.

The family extends their thanks to Dr. Michael Gerringer, Morey's primary care physician, the VA Home Based Primary Care Program, and the outstanding staff, especially Lauren, at Hospice, who were all so kind and compassionate during this journey.

A celebration of a life well lived will take place at a later date in the new year.
