Mildred L. Bennett, 66 of Rome, NY, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 10, 2016, with her family by her side.

Mildred was born in Mabbettsville, NY on March 11, 1949, the daughter of the late Raymond Bennett and Lucille Hill. She attended Dover High School and has been employed at Wassaic State Hospital, Cottonwood Inn, Mabbettsville Market, and Beekman Arms. Mildred was a unique and caring woman who was loved by anyone that knew her. She loved helping others and would put their needs before her own, without hesitation. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy.

Surviving are her daughter, Lori Guerriero and her husband, Allan, of Dexter, NY, grandchildren,; Reina, Devin, Logan, and Keira; brothers, Richard Bennett and his wife Linda and Stanley Bennett; sisters, Constance McKinnon and Lucia Bennett, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers; William Bennett, Ray Bennett and Ronald Bennett; and sisters, Marilyn Bennett, Nancy Bennett and Bette Ann Bennett.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 19 from 11 am – 12 noon at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon from the funeral home. Interment will be in Nine Partners Cemetery, Millbrook,NY at the convenience of the family.
