Mildred Edna Barr of Hopewell Junction passed away peacefully on August 10, 2015 at Kaplan Family Hospice. She was 68. Born on April 13, 1947 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Lewis and Mildred Beasimer. Known to her family and friends as Edna, she grew up in Hopewell Junction and spent her entire life there raising her family. Edna enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She also liked trips to the casino with her husband, a good dinner dance, Tuesday night Bingo, various Grange activities and crocheting. She was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW and a lifetime member of the Sylvan Grange. Edna is survived by her devoted husband Larry , Loving Children Roy and his wife Patti Barr of Delaware, NJ, and Francine O'Neil and her husband Robert of LaGrange . Cherished grandchildren Kimberly and Andrea Barr , Quinlan and Kieran O'Neil. Edna is also survived by her brother Lewis Beasimer and a large extended family. Friends may call on Friday August 14, 2015 from 4-8pm at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home 900 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday August 15, 2015 at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.
