Mary D. Sokol, 72, of Milan, NY passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. She was born on January 4, 1951 in Poughkeepsie. She was raised by her late parents, John Nelson Bishop Sr. and Mary Crawford Bishop. Mary loved to cook, bake, crochet, crosstich, play games and do puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.  Most importantly she loved helping people.  She would do anything for anyone that needed help.

She was married in Beekman, NY on April 12, 1997 to her loving husband, Russell, who survives her at home.  She is also survived by her children, Matthew and his spouse, Debra Speidel; Michelle and her spouse, Gene Nolen; step-daughter, Crystal and spouse, Brian Wells.  Grandchildren, Brianna, Zachary, Tyler, Carlie, April, Katie, Chelsey and Bryan.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 11AM to 2PM at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook, NY 12545.
