Obituary

Marshall M. Truex, Jr., 78 of Pleasant Valley, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 12.
Born in San Antonio, TX on January 21, 1941, he was the son of the late Marshall M. Truex Sr and Jean Reeves Truex who survives in Westchester, PA.
Marshall was a graduate of Drexel Institute of Technology with a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering. On July 9, 1960 he married Permelia Abrahamsen at the First Presbyterian Church, Pleasant Valley. Mrs. Truex survives at home. He was employed as an electrical engineer with IBM for 25 years retiring in 1994.

He was a life member of Pleasant Valley Trout and Game Club, was an assistant Scout Master with Troop 33, Pleasant Valley and coached Pleasant Valley Little League. Marshall enjoyed reading, camping, hunting and fishing. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Pleasant Valley.
In addition to his wife and mother, Marshall is survived by his 3 sons; Marshall M. Truex III and his wife Kathleen of Pleasant Valley, Einar Truex and his wife Deborah of Tennessee and Bryan Truex of Pleasant Valley; his grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother Howard Truex and his wife Patty of Pennsylvania; his sisters, Marsha Bottegal and her husband Thomas of Virginia, Nora Buck and her husband David of Florida and Laura Balliet of Ohio. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and interment will be private.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Allen Funeral Home, Pleasant Valley.
