Maria Theresa "Mitzi" Bryant, left us to rejoin Our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.  She was 95 years old.  Maria was a resident of Palm Harbor, FL and Pleasant Valley, NY before her death from an extended illness.

Maria was born Nov 14, 1925 in Olmutz, Czechoslovakia.  She was the youngest child of Alois and Amalia (Bartl) Stecker.  Maria was a loving wife to her husband, Leroy "Lee" Bryant.  Maria came to the USA in the early 1950s and met Lee - the love of her life.  They married Jan 6, 1955 and shared 56 devoted years together.  She was a loving and devoted mother to her two children, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Maria was a tirelessly attentive and caring wife, mother, and grandmother for her family.  She was a military wife and kept her family and household operating smoothly through many military moves around the world. The family lived in many exciting places in the US, Germany, Morocco, and Japan while in the military.

Upon retirement from the Navy, Maria and Lee settled in Exton, PA where Lee worked as Director of Public Works in West Chester, PA. Maria worked as a bookkeeper with her last employer being Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital. In1989, both Lee and Mitzi entered full retirement and moved to Palm Harbor, FL.  They enjoyed many years of being "snow birds", coming north several months a year.  As retirees, Lee and Maria enjoyed traveling, golfing, bingo, card playing, going to the beach, occasional trips to a casino for black jack, and especially visiting family.

She is preceded in death by her dear husband Lee, her parents Alois and Amalia Stecker and her sisters Anne and Amalia Stecker.  She is survived by her daughter Doris and her husband Humbert Maggiacomo, her son Michael Bryant and his wife Cynthia; grandchildren Alison Maggiacomo, Catherine Maggiacomo Murphy and her husband Michael, Christine Bryant Nutter and her husband Kevin and Gregory Bryant; and her five great grandchildren Angelo and Luca Maggiacomo, Jack and Liam Murphy, and Kyle Nutter.

The viewing will be held at Allen Funeral Home,1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley NY on Monday, Aug 2, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. A Roman Catholic Burial Mass will be held at St. Stanislaus Church, 1590 Main St.,  Pleasant Valley, NY on Tuesday August 3 ^rd at 10 a.m. A private burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA at a future date.

The family asks that donations be made in Maria's name to St Stanislaus Catholic Church or the Hospice of Dutchess County, NY in lieu of flowers.
