Marguerite M. Rose, 95, of Pleasant Valley, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Lutheran Care Center. Marguerite was born in Brooklyn, NY on March, 9 1922. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Donohue.

In 1940 she married the late George Rose in Long Island. Mr. Rose predeceased her in 1983. Together they moved to Pleasant Valley in 1972 from Long Island to raise their family. She was a long time parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church in Pleasant Valley. She enjoyed cooking and being with her family.

Marguerite is survived by her 2 children; John and his spouse, Michele Rose of Pleasant Valley and Edward and his spouse, Arlene of Poughkeepsie, daughter in law; Robin Rose of Florida, 3 grandchildren; Krystal and her spouse, Stephen Maness, James Rose and Jennifer and her spouse, Robert Armstrong, step grandchildren; Kayla and her spouse, Patrick Donovan, Ashlee Lake and Danielle Lake, and step great grandson; Liam Donovan.

She was predeceased by her son; George Rose on October 18, 2016, and siblings; James Donohue, John Donohue, Edward Donohue, Edna Young and Rita Weiner.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 7 to 9PM at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley, NY 12569. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 9AM from the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
