Margaret A. Sneddon, 89, of East Fishkill passed away at her home with her family by her side from a brief illness.Margaret was born on December 1, 1925 in Wishaw, Scotland to the late Alexander and Florence Howieson.On September 20, 1947, Margaret married the love of her life, David M. Sneddon, in the Masonic Hall, Shotts, Scotland.  David predeceased her on August 21, 1996.On November 11, 1952, Margaret came to the United States on the Queen Elizabeth with her Mother, daughter Florence, nephew Colin and dog Minky to join her two siblings, Alexander and James in Hatboro, PA.  Her husband joined them in 1954 after serving in the Royal Air Force, Scotland.While living in Hatboro, Margaret worked in the Hatboro Diner, Dutchess Diner and the Spring Restaurant, for many years as a waitress, and Shoprite in Fishkill as a cashier. Margaret, David, Florence, their dog Scotty and duck Ta-Ta relocated to Wappingers Falls in August, 1964.  They stopped at Patty's Charcoal Drive-In for lunch and proceeded to their new residence.Margaret worked as a food server in IBM, 1965 until her retirement in 1987.Margaret is survived by a daughter Florence Stobo (Robert), Wappingers Falls; granddaughter Sheila Falciano (Nicholas), Wappingers Falls; grandson Robert D. Stobo, Jr., Raleigh, NC; Great granddaughters Annalise and Gianna Falciano, Wappingers Falls; Great grandson Carter Stobo, Louisburg, NC; nephews Colin Howieson (Sue), Quakertown, PA; James Howieson, Jr. (Hatboro, PA), Patrick Howieson (Kathy); nieces Catherine Starr (Ray), Leighton, PA, Anne Marie Howieson (George), Hatboro, PA; Grandnieces Sue Bartholomew, Wendy Mosko, Marie Vogel (all PA); Three Grandnephews Paul Howieson, John Welsh Scott Hartcorn(all PA); Several Great grandnephews and several nieces and their families in Scotland and family in Nova Scotia.Margaret loved spending time with her family, traveling, her tea and cookies and sweets, shopping, QVC, Adams Fairacres Farms and nature. She was caught quite often throwing vegetables and fruits to her friend Chuck, the woodchuck.  Margaret was an avid Mets fan, Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Flyers.  Believe it or not, she was into wrestling.Margaret was predeceased by her husband David, parents Alexander/Florence Howieson, daughter Jean, brothers Robin, Alexander and James Howieson (Catherine) and many good friends Scotland, in Pennsylvania and New York.In lieu of flowers in Margaret's honor, please if you are able; donate to Sparrows Nest, Hospice of Dutchess County, Paralyzed Vets of America or SPCA of Dutchess County, Breast Cancer.Services will be held at Robert H.
