Lydia Dodge Tyler, 85, of Fishkill passed away into eternal life with God on October 2, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born in Boston, MA to the late Chester Arthur and Elise Blanchard Dodge. Lydia grew up in the Boston, MA area and graduated from Marblehead High School in Marblehead, MA, the same alma mater as her husband Ed. She also graduated from Pembroke College in Brown University in Providence, RI with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was a percussionist in high school and college. In 1956 she married Louis Edwin ("Ed") Tyler, Jr. in Marblehead, MA. Lydia enjoyed sewing, needlework, cooking, gardening, cats, wildlife, reading and life-long learning. She was very proud to be a mother and homemaker, and her priority was raising their children properly. Lydia is survived by her children Diane Tyler and Daniel and his wife Page Chrystie Tyler, and grandchildren Harrison, Austin and Chrystie Tyler. She was predeceased by her husband Louis E.
