Lydia Husni, a woman whose heart was almost too generous for this world, passed into the loving arms of our Lord Dec 5, 2025, after a sudden and brief illness.  She was born June 17, 1957, and for the last 38 years has lived in Clinton Corners, NY.  Lydia leaves behind a legacy of devotion, strength, and a love that could fill any room.  Her unique personality made an immediate impression, and everyone knew who you were talking about when you said "Lydia".
Lydia's life was shaped by remarkable resilience.  After rising above the challenges of a difficult childhood, she forged her own path with quiet strength and determination.  She began her career at General Motors, later joining Reader's Digest where she met the love of her life, Steven.  They were married June 15, 1985, and their partnership was one grounded in laughter, loyalty and a deep, enduing affection.
Together they raised two children, Melissa and Marc, born a year apart, who were the light of her life.  She left her job to be a stay-at-home Mom, pouring her boundless energy and love into them, always ready with gentle word, a comforting gesture, or the kind of support that never wavered and brought them up to be successful, caring individuals.  She loved going to their school events, especially sports.  Her proudest role came later when she became a grandmother "Grandma" to Tessa and Maddie, a title she cherished above all else.  Her granddaughters brought her immeasurable joy.
Lydia showed a very particular kind of love; one you understood instantly if you were lucky enough to experience it.  It was warm, intense, and wholly her own, the kind of affection that wrapped around you and stayed with you long after you left the room.  She gave of herself in a way that was unmistakably Lydia, wholehearted, sincere, and unlike anyone else.
Though our hearts are heavy, there is comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with her beloved sister Laura, whom she missed deeply, and neighbor Terry, with whom she's once again resumed having afternoon coffee.
She is survived by her husband Steve, daughter Melissa and fiancé Kevin of Md, son Marc and wife Lauren of NY, granddaughters Tessa and Maddie, niece Samantha, stepdaughter Betty of NY, and "adopted daughter" Ellen.  She is predeceased by her sister Laura and mother Elizabeth.  There are no planned wake or funeral services.  A memorial celebration of Lydia's life will be held at a future date.
