Luis Marti Jr., 59, passed away at his home in Millbrook, New York on January 7, 2019. The son of Luis Marti Sr. and Rosa Marti Munoz, he was born on January 13, 1959 in Bronx, NY. Luis attended high school at Portsmouth Abbey, Portsmouth, Rhode Island and graduated from Siena College, Loudonville, NY. He worked for many years in the insurance industry in New York City.

On May 25, 1985, he married Ann Whalen of Millbrook, NY at St. Joseph's Church in Millbrook.

Luis is survived by his loving wife, Ann, and his daughter, Alison, his mother Rosa Marti Munoz, his sister, Jeanette Marti, and his brother, Nelson Marti. He is also survived by his father-in-law, George T. Whalen Jr., his sister- in- law, Joan Frenzel (John), brother-in-law George Whalen III (Susie), and brother-in-law, Michael Whalen (Danette).

Luis loved running and was an avid sports fan, particularly major league baseball, especially the New York Yankees. Luis is deeply loved by his family, who will remember his humor, resilience and youthful wonder for life.

Visitation hours will be held at Allen Funeral Home, Millbrook, NY on Thursday January 10th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Joseph's Church, North Avenue, Millbrook, NY on Friday, January 11that 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Millbrook.
