A life well lived. It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Lorraine Nassr has gone to her reward in Heaven. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Bernie, her two daughters, Stephanie and Jeanmarie, her son-in-law, Angelo, the true loves of her life, her grandchildren, Evan and Aimee, a future grand-daughter-in-law, Kendra, along with three bonus grandchildren, Virginia, AJ, and Anthony.  Always by her side, she leaves behind her "partner-in-crime," (who is like a sister to her) her cousin, Josephine.

Born in Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York on February 28, 1932 where she lived with her parents, Charlie and Zakia and her brother Steve.    Raised with a strong Faith and the values of family, generosity love, and laughter, Lorraine brought so much joy to everyone she met.    Surrounded by many friends and family throughout her life. Lorraine enjoyed a short career with Owen's Illinois in the Chrysler Building in New York City until she met the love of her life, Bernie. They raised their children in the beautiful community of Bay Ridge in Brooklyn, NY.   A big part of the St. Patrick's parish, well-known and loved in the neighborhood with their family and friends.  A true supporter of the community and the local businesses. Bay Ridge will always be home and one of her favorite places to live and always close in her heart.
Always the epitome of style and blessed with incredible creativity, and love of retail,  Lorraine worked in a local boutique with family where so many came in, shopped and enjoyed their time in the store while being styled in the latest fashions of the time.    One of her greatest gifts is her sense of humor. There's countless people she has brought smiles and true hard-belly-aching laughs to and the fun stories are endless.    Her generous spirit has always been shown throughout her life. Not a selfish bone in her body. Always delivering exceptional service with a side of laughter.

Her greatest joys were taking care of her husband and making sure her children were happy and safe.   She's always so proud watching us grow up and the legacy she would leave us with of the importance of family. Some of the most enjoyable times were the summers down the shore or upstate in Tannersville, NY.  So many incredible memories and friendships were built there that still are in place today.  Family trips with cousins and friends were always so much fun. She's always the life of the party.

As the years passed, for a short time they lived on Long Island with Stef and Angelo, where new adventures began.  These past several years, living upstate with Jeanmarie was a gift especially  since she got to spend so much more time with her grandchildren who simply light up her life.    Mommy enjoyed helping Jeanmarie with her schoolwork and the visits with the children in school.

We celebrate her life and although we are heartbroken we are faithful that we will see her again. We know she will be watching over us always.  We also know she will be having so much fun with all the family and friends who are there already to greet her. We hope you'll always think of Lorraine and it puts a huge smile on your face and warmth in your heart.  Until we meet again, mommy, we love you so much! We'll be talking to you.  ❤️🙏🏻.
