Linda Ann
Wing
Feb 21, 1948 — Dec 29, 2025
Charleston
Linda Ann Cutts Wing, a devoted wife and fiercely loving mother, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at her home in Charleston, South Carolina; she was 77 years old. Linda was born on February 21, 1948, in Waterbury Connecticut. Linda lived a life defined by love, grit, and unwavering devotion to the people she cared for. For nearly 52 years, Linda was the supportive and loving wife to her husband, Pat Wing, and the proud mother of four children. In truth, she mothered everyone. Her first grandchild, Kayla, was always lovingly referred to as her "fifth child," along with countless other kids she "mothered" along the way. She believed deeply in family and made sure we knew it. One of her proudest declarations was, "If I've done nothing else right, my kids are all close." And we are. Tight.
Linda did it all. She stood through freezing football and hockey games, chaperoned field trips, and soothed skinned knees. She was the fixer of everything—cop calls and car wrecks, missed flights and broken hearts, hospital stays, and moments when life felt too heavy. She was a fierce protector of her children and reveled in motherhood. It wasn't just something she did—it was who she was. Linda did so much for so many, but she would do anything for her children, and everyone knew it.
Linda worked tirelessly to support her family, carrying a hustle that never faded. After years in restaurants, Linda spent nearly two decades working at LaGrange Dental. After moving to Charleston, she enjoyed working at the downtown market, where she made many friends she considered family. Though she never attended medical school, she always dreamed of working in medicine—especially after advocating for her husband through his illnesses. She had answers for everything. "Just ask Linda," Pat would say.
Linda passed with her daughter and granddaughter by her side, surrounded by love—exactly as she asked. Linda was predeceased by her son Christopher and her husband, Patrick. She is survived by her son, Patrick Wing (Jen) of Averill Park; her daughters, Amy Wing of Charleston and Lauren Wing of Seattle; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as well as her siblings, Crawford Cutts and Jennifer Abbott. We are a family bound tightly together by her example and endless love. She will be missed beyond measure and carried forward in all we do.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 11am – 2 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook. Graveside services will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Millbrook.
