Lillian E. Daniels born April 12, 1936 beloved daughter of Percy and Grace Hoose, passed away peacefully surrounded by love February 13, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Hospital.
On November 15, 1953 she married the love of her life Eugene M. Daniel, Sr. They shared a life filled with love, laughter and song. Respectively they welcomed six beautiful children into their lives. Sadly Eugene passed away February 23, 2001.
Lillian was a devoted mother, avid bowler otherwise known as "Big Red". Music was a passion in her life along with Gene and other loved family members and friends, they formed the Country Wranglers. They tirelessly devoted their time and talent volunteering for many years.
Lillian was predeceased by her siblings John Walter, Donald and Arthur Hoose. She is survived by Brothers Roger, Robert, Charles and George Hoose and sisters Ruth Meehan, Grace Reifenberg and Catherine Simmons.
Lillian's survived by her pride and joy, her children, Glenda Talbert and Spouse Blad, Eugene Daniels Jr. and Spouse Allison, Mark Daniels and Spouse Michelle, Pamela Daniels and spouse Marion, Timothy Daniels and Spouse Nikki and Keith Daniels. Her grandchildren include Heather Graziosi, Fred Boughton, Raven Daniels, Devon Daniels, Deshan Platt and Keith and Tyler Daniels. She is also survived by several great grandchildren. Lillian spent many happy years with friend and devoted companion Charles Daniels.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all of you for many acts of kindness and love shown to them during their hour of bereavement. We especially wish to thank the staff of Vassar Brothers Hospital from the valets to the ER, ICU, and the sixth floor. Their care and compassion made a difficult time a little easier.
And to all who loved Lilly, Remember her in your hearts… for she will never die.
Visitation will be on Wednesday February 17, 2016 from 5-9 pm at Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral Serviced will be held on Thursday 10 am at the Funeral Home with Reverend Linda Barnes officiating. Followed by internment at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lilly's name to Vassar Brothers Hospital.
