Leonard F. Gallagher Sr. a lifelong local resident passed away peacefully on October 19, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Gallagher was employed in the Construction Equipment Industry, leaving in 1986. He was a member of the American Theatre Organ Society. Born in Poughkeepsie on June 26, 1926, he was the son of the late James E. and Eva Kratt Gallagher. He was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and Krissler Business School. On April 23, 1953 he married Helen T. Mierzwa who predeceased him on April 30, 2014. He is survived by his son Leonard F. Gallagher Jr. of Eizaville NY, Daughter Susan J. Tucci and her husband Davis of Scotia NY, three grandsons, Thomas Conway, John Tucci, and Matthew Tucci and his son in law John X. Conway. He was predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth Anne Conway on September 20, 1985. In keeping with his wishes there will be no calling hours , and cremation will take place at the convenience of the family.
