June Elizabeth Morse, 90, a resident of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Born in Edmand, New Hampshire on June 18th, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Clara Duncan and Frederick Duncan. On March 15th, 1952, in Ballston Spa, New York, she married Lynus Lewis Morse Sr.
She is survived by her three sisters Arlene Davis and husband John, Donna Heck and husband Arthur, Mary Wilbur and husband Freddie. June is also survived by three brothers Richard Duncan and wife Emily, Fred Duncan and wife Wanda, and her brother Eddie Duncan. June was predeceased by her two brothers Lawrence Duncan, Robert (Buster) Duncan and three sisters Rose McGill, Gloria Dean, and Louise Brue. She is also survived by her daughter Robin Pataro and predeceased husband Ben Pataro Sr., her daughter Bonnie Rechenbach and husband Rene, and stepdaughter Daphna Morse. June is survived by her son David Duncan and wife Cindy, and her son Danny Duncan. June is also survived by her son Perry Morse and fiancé Kim Howerton, son Dorwin Morse and wife Linda, son Lynus Morse Jr., son Watson Morse and wife Angel, son Andrew Morse and fiancé Pam Quaranta, son Philip Morse and wife Dora, son Timothy Morse and wife Karen, and her son Robert Morse. June is survived by 28 grandchildren and one predeceased grandson, 36 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
June started as a nurse's aide at Hudson River State Hospital and became an Assistant Director at the Men's Home in Poughkeepsie. June continued as a home health caregiver for many years until her retirement. June was an avid reader of novels based on true crime and romance. She always looked forward to going to the casinos and playing the penny slots. Another hobby she had was making ceramics for her family. Two of her all-time favorite TV shows were Days of our Lives and Wheel of Fortune. While living in Tennessee, she enjoyed her travels to New York and California to see family.
Calling hours will be held at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley New York on Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. followed by interment on Friday, September 24th, 2021 at 11 AM at Amenia Island Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to the American Heart Association in memory of June Elizabeth Morse.
