John Caven Fimbel, 88, a lifelong Poughkeepsie resident, passes away peacefully at home on Friday, February 26, 2021. John was born on September 10, 1932 in Poughkeepsie to the late Fredderick E. Fimbel Sr. and Emma Bahret.

After high school he went on to attend Cornell University and received his Bachelor's Degree.

He worked as the Construction Superintendent for Dutchess County for many years until his retirement.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021, from 10 to 12pm, with funeral services at 12pm from the funeral home, at Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Internment will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
