Jeffrey Michael Woodward, AKA "Buffy", 76, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle, passed peacefully Friday September 20th 2024 surrounded by family at Hudson Valley Hospice House.

Born in Troy, New York on September 29th, 1947, Jeff later moved to Poughkeepsie, New York and was predeceased by his parents Lyle and Mildred (Eidel) Woodward. He is survived by two brothers, James and his wife Rosemary of Pennsylvania, and John and his wife Joanne of Tennessee. In addition, he has a sister, Jill Jones of Poughkeepsie (predeceased by her late husband John Jones). Jeff married his high school sweetheart Pamela (Rizzo) in 1968 and remained married to date.

Jeff served in the Army from 1967-1969 and graduated with his Bachelors in Sociology and followed up with certification and licensure as a Respiratory Therapist. He worked in the field of Respiratory Therapy in home and later hospital settings, retiring from Vassar Brothers Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY in 2010.

Since retirement Jeff enjoyed staying busy with home projects, building boats in bottles, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He had strong faith as a practicing Catholic and whenever anyone needed help he was quick to offer support and advice. He was known for being a prankster and would reduce people to tears from laughing so hard.

Jeff is survived by his wife Pamela Woodward, daughter Sarah and her husband Chris Beaver of Maryland, sons Graham of Poughkeepsie, Evan and his wife Chelsy of Poughkeepsie, and grandchildren, Ava, Grant and Michael Jeffrey.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 4 – 7 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 10 am from St. Joseph's Church, North Ave., Millbrook. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Millbrook with military honors.
