ckwith, 90, entered into the Kingdom of God, on December 3, 2016, with her family by her side at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was born
September 14
, 1926 in Poughkeepsie, to the late Willard and Molly LaDue.
Jean graduated from Hudson River State Hospital School of
Nursing in 1948. On July 2, 1948, she married Asa T.
Beckwith
, who survives her at home. After a rewarding career in nursing, she joined her husband to create a very
successful
antique business, operating a large antique shop in Pleasant Valley, NY.
She
and Asa traveled and participated in many antique shows in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Florida, Maryland, and New York. Jeans true love was for the Lord Jesus. She exhibited this with her gracious hospitality and
70 years of involvement with New Beginnings Church.
She is survived by her husband,
Asa, two sons, David and Mark Beckwith, her daughter, Ruth MacLarion, and was predeceased by her sister Judy.
A funeral service will be held at
10:00 AM

Wednesday, December 7, 2016
, at New Beginnings Church, 35 DeGarmo Road, Poughkeepsie. Burial will be private in Stanford Cemetery. Donations may be made to the church.
