Janice Drew Graham, 93, of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at her home of 63 years. Born on February 14, 1928 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Leslie Charles Drew and Alice Eva Drew, both of Poughkeepsie. She was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, class of 1946. In August of 1946, she married Henry Allen Graham, her high school soulmate and they remained married for 67 years until his passing.
Janice was the ultimate craftsperson and spent all of her spare time making Christmas ornaments and ornate crafts that will be cherished by her family for generations to come. Her kindness and gentle strength are an inspiration to all of those who were close to her. There was a special place in her heart for all living things, including the four legged and feathered varieties. She was greatly loved by her family who affectionately referred to her as G-Ma. Her only known flaw was being an avid Yankee fan.
Janice is survived by her son, Stephen Graham and his wife Nancy of West Stockbridge, MA; daughters Cynthia Fay of Falmouth, MA, and Suzanne Graham of Poughkeepsie; her grandson Stephen Graham, Jr. and his wife Caitlin of West Stockbridge, MA; her granddaughter Carrie Sullivan and her husband Travis of Shrewsbury, MA; her great grandsons Braden Graham and Ryder Sullivan; and her great granddaughter Avery Sullivan
In addition to her husband Henry Allen Graham, she was predeceased by her infant son, Douglas Graham; her granddaughter Allison Graham; her sister Lola Drew Spalding and her husband Lyle of Louisville, KY; and her son-in-law Kevin Fay of Fall River, MA. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews.
