Jane Snyder-Elizaville NY. Mrs. Jane Snyder, 80 of Elizaville passed away peacefully on June 1 2017. Mrs. Snyder was born September 4 1936 in Rockville Centre New York, to Howard Leray and Clara Faist Sanders Sr. Mrs. Snyder lived for several years on the farm at Chestnut Ridge Road, MiIlbrook, NY before moving to Elizaville NY. On May 18, 1973, in Millbrook NY, she married the love of her life, Ralph "Dusty" Snyder, who survives her at home.
Mrs. Snyder graduated from the Catholic School of Saint Mary, Garden City NY in 1954, graduated Hood College, Frederick Maryland with her Bachelors in Education in 1958 and graduated from SUNY New Paltz NY in 1965 with her Masters Degree in Education. She worked for American Airlines as a reservations agent for 4 years, before becoming a Social Studies teacher with the Webatuck Central School District for 29 years.
Mrs. Snyder was predeceased by her parents, Howard and Clara, her brother Howard Sanders, and her sister in law Virginia Sanders. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ralph "Dusty" Snyder, her daughter Laurie and son in law George Cox , her grandchildren Rachel and her husband Bryan Williams and Christopher Cox, great grandchildren Brooke, Brady and Belle Williams, all of Winter Haven FL, her son Michael and her daughter in law Rebecca of Greenwood Fl, her grandsons Zachary, Kyle and of Greenwood, Army Specialist Timothy Snyder, and his fiancé Army Specialist Genesis Seumalo both stationed in Oahu Hawaii. She is also survived by her nieces, Linda (John) Hughes, Kathy Russell, and Brenda (Kirk) Hamilton and her nephew Bud (Barbara) Sanders, and their families. She is also survived by dear friends Primo and Kathy Sherman Mancini, Jesse Murphy, Ashley Phipps and Mindy Scofield all of Elizaville.
Mrs. Snyder is much loved and missed by her family and her family was truly her world. She will be forever remembered as Grandma Jane to her grandchildren, with many wonderful memories for them to cherish and pass on. She was an avid gardener, with gladiolas being her favorites.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 7 from 11 am - 1 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm from the funeral home. Interment will be in Nine Partners Cemetery, Millbrook.
