Obituary

James W. Robinson a lifelong Town of Beekman resident passed away peacefully on October 30, 2015 at Lutheran Care Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 82. James was born on October 22, 1933 to the late George and Cecilia VanWagensen Robinson. James worked for 38 years for New York State Parks, Recreation and Historical Preservation, Taconic Region. He worked in various capacities over his tenure most notably as a member of the Taconic State Park Police. He was a very talented man who enjoyed automotive mechanics, woodworking, and gardening. The Family would like to thank Donna Hitsman and Crystal Bernard for their help with James' care. The family is also grateful to the staff at the Lutheran Care Center who worked to give support and comfort to James and his family. James is survived by his loving children Nancy Wizeman, Linda Myers and her husband Michael. Cherished grandchildren, Craig Wizeman, Michelle Sack and her husband Brian, Matthew Myers and his wife Dori, and Sarah Wertz and her husband Jason, Frank Audenino, Kristen Fischetti and her husband Joseph, Travis Audenino, four cherished great grandchildren and his Sister Barbara Vale. He was predeceased by his wife Doris Robinson, his daughter Judy Audenino, Son In Law Paul Wizeman, and his brothers George and Frank Robinson. Funeral Services will be private at the discretion of the family. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home- Hopewell Junction. In lieu of flowers the family has one special request, Spend some extra time with an elderly relative or neighbor in James' memory.
