Irena Hope Morse, 52 of Pleasant Valley, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at MidHudson Regional Hospital.

Born in Niskayuna,NY on April 19, 1964, she was the daughter of William H. Mark, Jr. and Harriet L. Woodward.

Irena was a graduate of Arlington High School, Class of 1982. On October 2, 1999, Irena married Roger W. Morse. Mr. Morse predeceased her on December 2, 2012.

She enjoyed camping, painting, quilting and stamp collecting. Irena was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Pleasant Valley and the church choir. She was also an active member of Pleasant Valley Grange and Pomona Grange.

Irena is survived by her mother, Harriet L. Mark of Pleasant Valley; her 2 brothers, William H. Mark III of Pleasant Valley and Clifford H. Mark and his wife Beatrice Gombart-Mark of Seattle, WA.; her sister, Helen Mark Forward and her husband Stephen of Syracuse; her niece, Sara Forward and nephews Zachary and Joshua Forward. She was predeceased by her father, William H. Mark, Jr. and her husband, Roger W. Morse.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21 at 1 pm from First Presbyterian Church, Main St., Pleasant Valley. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Irena's memory to First Presbyterian Church.
