Howard Jack Kraemer "Pee-Pa", died peacefully at Vassar Hospital on February 27th, 2018 in Poughkeepsie, NY at the age of 90 surrounded by his family. Howard is survived by his children, daughter Karen and Ed Hogan of Poughkeepsie; son, Thomas and Theresa Kraemer of Blauvelt, NY; son, Glenn and Lisa Kraemer of LaGrange, NY; daughter Robin Kraemer of Bronx, NY, his 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He preceeded in death by his wife Elizabeth Kraemer of Bronx, NY, who passed away in March 1993 and 3 brothers Ronald, Alan, and Robert Silverman.

Howard was born on March 14th, 1927 in Manhattan, NY. He married Elizabeth on June 14th, 1960. They lived in and spent their whole marriage on Bainbridge Ave in the Bronx. Howard was a decorated veteran, who served overseas during World War II and loved speaking about his service. He was also a Golden Gloves boxer, who was a sparring partner to Heavy Weight Undefeated Champion Rocky Marciano. All of his stories were incredible and if you were lucky enough to be in earshot of him, he never dissapointed.

A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 3 to 7 PM at Parmele, Auchmoody, and Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave.,  Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 followed by a Funeral Mass on Monday, March 5, 2018, at 10 AM from Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main St., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Burial will follow in St. Raymond's Cemetery, 2600 Lafayatte Ave., Bronx, NY 10465. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Howard's life.
