Helene Perkins, 87.  formerly of Poughkeepsie passed away peacefully in her sleep at home surrounded by her family on July 13, 2025. She was born September 13, 1937 to Peter and Bessie (Smith) Demelis. On February 14, 1960 Helene married Eric James Keller at Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie. Eric pre-deceased her on November 4, 1989.

Helene worked at Social Services in Poughkeepsie as a data entry operator. Helene was a member of the New Beginnings Church for many years. Helene loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Helene enjoyed her yearly trips to Maine which was a tradition lasting over 50 years and enjoyed the beaches while there.

Helene is survived by daughter Rondi Kirkland, son Eric Peter Keller, daughter Stacy Maddalena and her husband Michael. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kristian Kirkland and his fiancé Christina Barber, Michelangelo Maddalena and granddaughter Sophia Helene Maddalena. Helene is also survived by her half sisters Theresa Adams and Honey Mergendahl. Helene is also survived by her pet Chihuahua Charlie.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 from 3-6 pm at Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Burial will be held 11 am, Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at St. Peter's Cemetery, 171 Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603
