Helen P. Anson, 84 of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Poughkeepsie on November 26, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Ethel Gover.

On April 17, 1963, Helen married Douglas Anson. Mr. Anson predeceased her on August 9, 1999.

Helen had been employed as a bookkeeper at Bennett College in Millbrook unto it's closing and then became a bookkeeper at Migdale Estate in Millbrook until she retired.

She is survived by her 2 sons; Kevin "Poncho" Anson, his wife Cheryl and their 2 children, Leslie and Cory of Millbrook and Joey Sorrentino of Poughkeepsie; her 2 grandchildren; her 2 brothers, Bob Gover of Clinton Corners and Dick Gover of Millbrook; brother in law Butch and his wife Shirley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by 2 brothers, Bill "Junie" Gover and and Bud Gover.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Allen Funeral Home, Pleasant Valley.
