Harold B. Cypher, 89, a lifelong area resident, passed away on February 21, 2017 at Castle Point Veterans Hospital. He was born in Pleasant Valley, NY September 27, 1927 to the late Charles and Helen (Gillette) Cypher.
Harold served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, as an MP, and as a radioman. On October 19, 1946 he would marry Rosa Schmitt, in Bad Kissingen, Germany.  He worked at the Yen-A-Gen Pheasantry for most of his life as the manger, raising game birds, training hunting dogs, took out hunting parties, and took care of an 1800 acre estate.  also being a TV and radio repairman. He would also train and ride horses in foxhunts in Millbrook, and set up horse shows at Bennett  Riding Academy in Lithgow.
