Hannelore Juerss, 84, of Pleasant Valley, NY passed away at home, on Monday, October 2, 2017.

She was born in Broske, Germany on September 25, 1933, to the late Wilhelm and Franziska Urban Saurin.

She married Walter P.A. Juerss on  February 1, 1953. Mr. Juerss predeceased her on June 16, 1988.  She was a resident of Pleasant Valley for 53 years and was self-employed as a house cleaner.

Hannelore is survived by her children, Peter and his wife Anne, Detlef and his wife Sharon and Marieanne Coursen and her husband Wayne, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her sister, Elfriede Lieber in Germany.  She was predeceased by her grandson, Kacper Juerss.  Hannelore was a dedicated homemaker and devoted mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed caring for her flowers and her home and took great pleasure in the birds and nature surrounding her.

Memorial services for Hannelore will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 10 - 12 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley, NY 12569. With services beginning at 12 PM from the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
